Bob Haas has held key technology and management positions with several leading IT companies over the past 25 years, starting as an application developer, and working his way up through network and systems administration, security engineering, holistic data center systems engineering, project management, and most recently business & IT strategy development. As a result of this experience, he brings a proven application perspective to both the information assurance and cloud engineering disciplines.

Bob’s focus is on providing Cybersecurity and cloud strategy services to mission critical enterprises across both the Government (federal and state) and commercial markets. He has responsibility for multi-disciplinary teams focusing on Risk Management, Cloud Strategy and Assessment Services, Cloud Solution & Network Security Design and Build, Secure Operations, and Secure Compliance. Bob’s cloud and information security ‘hands-on’ expertise includes serving as a senior solution architect for key accounts responsible for successful project fulfillment, providing strategic planning, engineering and program management support, and being accountable for the day-to-day operations and management to include utilization, staffing, and technical training. He has served on a number of global protocol development working groups providing technical analysis and support concerning various copyright management and protection concepts.

Bob previously worked at SAIC focusing on cloud computing strategy, solution design & build, and internal R&D. His focus was on facilitating an organizations evolution to a shared services and utility computing model by aggressively adopting cloud computing. Bob was responsible for the design, implementation, operation and management of SAIC’s Enterprise Solution Lab, a multi-tenant environment used to develop, integrate, test, verify and validate components (individual projects) and/or integrated solutions. This functioning integration platform is based on a private cloud model utilizing converged infrastructure and VMware’s software stack for infrastructure, platform, and software service delivery to tenants. This serves as an Operable Reference Implementation (functioning “Gold Disk”) of the unified solution set of cloud infrastructure efforts around ‘X-as-a-Service’ capabilities and R&D work at SAIC. Bob also served as the PM for a large ($30M/year) DHS engineering services task and was responsible for directing large Network, Systems, Security, and Implementation Engineering Teams to ensure the attainment of profit and operational goals.

As the VP of the Enterprise Security Solutions (ESS) Division at Sentrillion, Bob supported DHS Border Security projects, DoJ DEA Validation, Integrity and Penetration Response Unit (ISIV) operations, and the relocation of two Associated Press broadcasting facilities. He led the design/build of a state of the art, fully redundant, secure IT infrastructure that supported all Television, Radio, Video, and Audio requirements of the world’s largest newsgathering organization.

While at Data Systems Analysts, Inc. Bob supported the design, integration, and deployment of global architectures for various government, financial, and commercial entities, managed federal government agency-wide security compliance initiatives, and actively participated in Department of Defense and Industry working groups, standards bodies, and pilot projects associated with networking and information assurance. On behalf of the RIAA, Bob spent a number of years supporting multiple international engineering protocol development working groups (USB, IEEE-1394TA, MPEG-4/7, CPTWG, DVD-ISC, SDMI, etc) developing protocol independent, copyright management and protection concepts for music content providers (Sony, BMG, Warner, UMG, Capitol/EMI, etc).

Bob has an active DoD Top Secret Clearance and maintains multiple professional certifications including (ISC)2 CISSP, NSA IAM and ITIL v3 Foundation.
